Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026

1. Who we are

QuickQuote ("we", "us") provides quoting tools for tradespeople. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, business details you provide.
  • Quote & customer data: the quotes, customer names, emails and addresses you create.
  • Billing data: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card details.
  • Usage data: basic logs and analytics (page views, errors, device type) to operate and improve the service.
  • Communications: messages sent via our contact form or to our support address.

3. How we use it

We use your data to provide the service, send transactional emails (account, billing, quote-related), respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve QuickQuote.

4. Legal bases

We rely on contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the service), legal obligation (e.g. tax records), and consent where required.

5. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help run QuickQuote — including hosting and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), payments (Stripe), and email delivery. We never sell your data.

6. Retention

We retain account and quote data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can request earlier deletion (see "Your rights").

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections, access controls and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong unique password.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the form on our Contact page.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or via email.

11. Contact

Questions or complaints? Use our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
